Welcome to Dodford, West Northamptonshire.
Dodford is an English rural Civil Parish within the unitary authority of West Northamptonshire Council
Dodford is a small and classically picturesque Northamptonshire village nestling in a valley within the green, rolling hills of the Northamptonshire uplands in the far west of the county. Located 11 miles west of Northampton and 3.5 miles east of Daventry, Dodford has some fine local stone built grade 2 listed buildings, and exudes the tranquility and community spirit of a traditionally English village. Dodford, like many small rural villages, chooses to manage its own governance and local affairs via a Parish Meeting, this being the lowest formal tier of Local Government below a full Parish Council. The Chairman, Colin Newton (pictured opposite), performs the combined functions of Chairman, Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer. Two Parish Meetings are held each year in May and October.
