Over the last two weeks the scene at the bus station and The Drapery in Northampton changed rapidly with most of the old, uncomfortable and unreliable diesel bus fleet being replaced with new environmentally friendly 100% electric double and single decker busses.
Initially confined to the shorter distance urban routes within Northampton, the last few days have seen brand new electric busses now being progressively introduced on the Northampton to Daventry route calling at our Dodford Grange eastbound and westbound bus stops on the A45.
The new busses are quiet and smooth with vastly improved suspension, better able to cope with our pot holed roads. With air conditioning, ergonomically improved seats each with a USB socket, and a route information display screen, the passenger experience is greatly improved.
